About Matthew Jarvis MA, M.Ed, LPC, LAC
My name is Matthew Jarvis and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I provide couples therapy and specialize in helping individuals navigate the complex and often confusing dynamics of intimate and romantic relationships. I’ve been a “relationship whisperer” for several years and have been assisting people in bringing their best selves into love.
The help and support of a neutral third party to validate and coach you can make all the difference in building healthy relationships. You may need to talk with a compassionate professional to process and make meaning of your relationships.

“Being in a painful relationship can be disorienting. A 52% divorce rate in the USA means that more than half of people who get married are struggling greatly with their marriages! You can change your life, and experience healthy relationships.”
The Path Behind My Career as a Clinician
My counseling career found me. I didn’t find it. In my own painful struggles during early adulthood, I was overcome by addictions, terrible relationships, panic and anger problems. I found myself sitting in front of a therapist. For once, she heard me. She helped me define and accept everything I was feeling. Therapy gave me hope for change.
That was 15 years ago. Someone was there to help me in my darkest hour and now I am here for you and your family. It just takes a little bit of courage.
“We resist change. The unfamiliar scares us, pushing us away from our true selves. We see the need for change, and yet feel the forces holding us down. Courage is a value we see in the world every day. It may be the courage to confront a difficult coworker or the courage to express empathy and kindness to someone in need. Through seeing the courage in our daily lives, we can use it along our road to change.”
